About Us
Sandberg’s Service Center has been a staple in Valparaiso for more than 45 years. Established in 1973 when John Sandberg opened a gas station backed by Standard Oil, the business has grown into a leading towing and auto repair service center. Now located at 1252 W. Lincolnway and managed by his sons, Chris and Ryan, Sandberg’s offers a fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty wreckers. The repair shop is equipped to handle domestic vehicles, light trucks, and foreign cars. I was REALLY in a pinch this morning. I had scheduled a delivery of heavy machinery to La Porte with another local company. They dropped the ball on me and couldn't make it happen. Called Sandberg's, and they arranged a truck to get the machine to my customer SAME day. As someone who ships a lot of machinery around the Chicagoland area, they just earned themselves a customer as long as I'm in business! Very grateful for their help today. They pulled me out (literally) of a bad situation.

Woke him up at 12:30am. He showed up up right away. Backed up to my shop and helped put my car right into place next to the car lift. I hope I never need a tow at midnight again but if I do Sandberg will be who I’m calling.
